Gene Foster is a project manager and business development specialist with more than 15 years of business experience. He has an extensive background in planning and managing cross-functional business operations and technology projects. He is an analytical and conceptual thinker who effectively partners best-of-class alliance partners to assess opportunities, facilitate strategic decisions, and drive successful implementations.
Gene has been involved with grant writing and proposals for charging stations in Missouri’s corridors as well as IoT infrastructure planning. His forward thinking will be a benefit to the organization and bring St. Louis to the forefront of the smartest cities in the US.
Gene’s ability to assess complex situations and identify appropriate solutions underscores his ability to gain meaningful insight and follow-up with thorough analysis. He is particularly skilled at business development, government contracts, and partner alliances.
Gene enjoys forging consensus among people with diverging ideas and opinions. He has managed a broad array of projects in industries ranging from energy storage, battery automation and test equipment to micro-grids for Zambia. Projects include: General Motors, Magna, Tacom, eCAMION, Aeon Energy, and manages Regent Power’s growing portfolio, along with founder Laura Jones.
Prior to joining Regent Power, Gene, an academic geologist, worked project manager with Laura at Bitrode Corporation. He was a student in the Geology program at University of South Florida. Worked as a project manager for PSI Engineering and Master Scheduler for Bitrode and Mac Medical. While at Mac Medical, he had increased the percentage of on time delivery from low 60% to 98%. Gene has a reputation for being relentlessly mission-driven and big-picture focused. He has built his career around his passion for creating meaningful change in the pursuit of a brighter, cleaner, and more sustainable future.
